Fitness After Knee or Hip Replacement

Rebuild confidence in everyday movement with appropriate professional clearance.

How the plan works

Your plan can include supported sit-to-stands, safe step training, controlled balance, progressive strength and walking tolerance when authorized by your clinical team. Coaching should respect surgical restrictions and distinguish normal exercise effort from symptoms that require clinical follow-up.

Step 1 — Establish your baseline

We review your goal, activity level, available training equipment, current constraints, and realistic schedule. Appropriate medical clearance is required when relevant.

Step 2 — Build a repeatable training plan

We select manageable sessions, technique priorities and training progressions. TNOS principles can guide eccentric, isometric and concentric work when appropriate for your goals.

Step 3 — Measure and adjust

Progress reviews can include repetitions, strength, movement confidence, walking or conditioning capacity, and adherence — not appearance alone.
